🗺️ Following a path
Read directions step by step: "Go right 2, then down 3." Trace with your finger. Each step matters! Different words mean different things.

Use your finger to follow the path as you say each direction. Left, right, up, down — one step at a time!
⏱️ Shortest path
To get from A to B, the shortest path has no detours. On a grid, count: right steps + down steps. Different routes can have the same length if the total steps match.
Count your steps! 🚶
From the top-left corner to the bottom-right: you need 3 steps right and 2 steps down = 5 steps total!
⬅️➡️ Left and right
Your LEFT hand makes an L shape with thumb and pointer. Remember: if someone faces you, their left is YOUR right! This is tricky!
Make an L! 🤚
Hold up your left hand with thumb and pointer out. That makes an L shape! Your right hand doesn't make the L.
